A quest lasting
many months to find yarn for a major knitting project led me
to shop in many of the online knitting sites. During this
process I learnt a lot about what was good and what was not
so good about shopping on line for yarn.
Shortly afterwards, a ‘eureka’ moment led to the formation
of Alba Yarns in Inverness early in 2006. My other goal was
to have a business that could be run any where in the world
to achieve a long time dream of living in France. And since
July 2007, Alba Yarns opened its virtual doors in a quiet
corner of South West France.
Although nothing can better the pleasure of going into a
yarn shop and seeing, touching and choosing your yarn we
hope we can provide you with a pleasant and satisfying
shopping experience.
Alba Yarns hopes to encourage the relaxing and therapeutic
benefits of hand knitting, and also the practical pleasure
of producing beautiful handmade garments and items for the
home.
We are delighted to hear that so many people are returning
to knitting and that others are starting on their first
projects – Alba Yarns has something to offer everyone –
novices and experienced knitters alike.
