Alpaca yarn is similar to merino wool but warmer, softer and silkier. It contains no lanolin which makes it hypoallergenic. Alpacas are gentle on the environment and alpaca fibre can be called organic, although it is not certified as such. Our Alpaca yarn is sourced from Peru and comes in two weights, 4ply or sock and double knitting, both in hanks/skeins of 100g. It is a delight to knit as it is as soft as butter, with a luxurious finish.
